Custom Made Bench Seat Cushion
This cushion was made custom for this bench using 3.5" high-density foam. I also wrapped it with a layer of batting for extra padding. The cushion also has welting/piping trim on the top and bottom seams in the same fabric as the cushion. I can make welting in a contrasting fabric as well. Prices vary depending on size. This one is listed in my ETSY shop for custom orders.

Freelance Seamstress II

Better Homes and Gardens, Special Interest Publications, Before and After, Spring 2007. This was probably my biggest job with Meredith Publications. The project consisted of an outdoor patio with four different color schemes. I created the cushion covers for the outdoor furniture, pillows and curtains. (Click on the picture to close up view.)

Here are a few of the paintings so far. There will be four paintings when I am finished. These are painted in acrylic on 8x10 canvases: , Hula Popper, Vintage Bass Oreno, Jitterbug

Record-Herald Interview at Martensdale-St. Marys
The Indianola Record Herald recently came to my classroom to interview myself and students about our participation with the On-line Art Gallery, "Artsonia". The took some nice photos of my 1st and 2nd graders. They were all very excited to be interviewed and photographed. To view the article: Record-Herald The original article in the paper had more photos.
This was a fun thing for the kids and myself.

What's with the Barbie?
A few years ago, I returned to college and earned my Teacher Certification. I took classes at Simpson College and took a Digital Imaging class. I had an early "Midge" barbie like this when I was young. I acquired the barbie from a family member and took pictures to sell the doll on ebay. The pictures were interesting and took several to use in the class. The pictures were a hit. I continued to develop my Photoshop skills and change the image by adding details for my Facebook profile. Midge has become an alter-ego of sorts.
I made a sale!
